To celebrate the release of the Blue Gum Cardigan by Vera Marcu, we are pleased to offer yarn kits for this stunning pattern.

The Blue Gum Cardigan was designed in Louie & Lola Merino Silk Cashmere Fingering with the sample knit in the Fern colourway.

Yarn kits are available available dyed to order in the colourway of your choice.  Please see our Colourways page here.  Kits will ship within seven (7) days.

The design is knitted sideways starting from the middle of the back in a relatively simple stitch that resembles garter stitch. The sleeves have a dropped stitch lace motif that is also present on the back.

Whilst the form is flowing and flattering for any body shape, it doesn’t slip off the shoulders due to the ribbed neck band. Any type of shawl pin can be used to close it or it can be worn open. The width of the sleeves and the length of the cardigan can be altered by choosing one of the 3 options of cast on number of stitches.

Louie & Lola Merino Silk Cashmere Fingering is a beautifully luxurious and drapey yarn base with a good twist.  It is comprised of 70% superwash Merino / 20% Silk / 10% Cashmere and offers 400m/437 yards per 100 grams.

Please note that the kit does not include the Blue Gum Cardigan pattern.  It is available for purchase separately on Ravelry here

All yarns are hand dyed in small batches using professional quality acid dyes and heat set to ensure colours that will last.

Every effort has been made to remove any excess dye from the yarn, however a little may remain, particularly with dark and rich colours.  It is therefore recommended to gently hand wash your hand dyed projects on their own, in cold water, with wool wash or a mild detergent.

Shipping will be calculated at checkout.
