For best results we always recommend gently hand-washing your finished hand-dyed projects with wool wash or a mild detergent in cool
water.

Gently press out any excess water in a towel and then lay your project out flat to dry in the shade.

Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns every skein will be unique, even when dyed in the same dye lot.  They are a work of art.

We therefore recommend alternating skeins when knitting larger projects or garments, to help to break up any potential pooling and even out any differences in colours between skeins.

We also recommend purchasing enough skeins for larger projects at the same time to ensure they come from the same dye session, as colour intensity can vary from batch to batch.

We currently allocate a limited number of Dyed to Order spaces each month, to provide you with the opportunity to purchase any of our regular colourways on any of our in-stock yarn bases.

There is no minimum quantity per colourway/yarn base.

Our Dyed to Order service will be opened on the 10th of each month and remain open until the month's spaces are filled.

Our Dyed to Order service turnaround is approximately 28 days.

Should you have any Dyed to Order queries please don't hesitate to Contact Us.

One of our aims when starting Louie & Lola Yarns was to be as environmentally conscious as possible in all our decisions.

From re-using our dye water to soak our yarns and wash our utensils, to wrapping our yarns in tissue paper rather than cellophane bags and having our skein bands and stationery printed on Envirocare paper stock, which is made from 100% recycled paper.

We are always excited to hear from designers who are interested in using Louie & Lola Yarns in an upcoming design.
If you have an idea for a new design and are interested in using our yarns, please contact us to discuss your design ideas.

We would love to welcome you to our Dye Studio Yarn Shop, which is open by appointment.

We are located in the suburb of Claude Road, just outside of Sheffield, in North West Tasmania.

If you would like to visit please contact us to make an appointment time to visit.
