Designed as both a beautiful everyday bag and a thoughtful project companion, the Thread & Maple Flow Bag keeps your yarn moving smoothly and your knitting undisturbed.

Handcrafted in Ukraine from soft suede leather with Crazy Horse leather accents, it blends refined structure with practical details made specifically for makers. Sized to comfortably hold a 1–2 skein project, it’s ideal for socks and other small, portable knits.

At the zipper opening, a discreet snap tab allows yarn to glide freely while the bag remains closed — functioning like a quiet, travel-friendly yarn bowl. Inside, a snap loop holds your Needle Cosy, so your sock project hangs neatly and untangled, keeping stitches clean and cables free from twists.

Fully lined and intentionally designed, the Flow Bag features:

  • A yarn-through snap tab at the zipper mouth
  • An interior snap loop to suspend your Needle Cosy
  • A generous magnetic slip pocket
  • A secure zippered pocket for small essentials
  • An adjustable strap that converts from short handle to snug shoulder length
  • Optional longer strap available separately for crossbody wear

Structured enough to hold its shape yet soft and tactile in hand, it transitions seamlessly from daily use to dedicated project bag. As with all suede pieces, we recommend protecting the bag with suede protector spray to minimise potential color transfer to clothing or yarn and to maintain the depth of color over time.

The Flow Bag is designed to move with you — keeping your yarn flowing, your stitches steady, and your project beautifully contained.

Flow Bag Product Measurements:

  • L x W x H: 27cm x 11cm x 24cm [10.5" x 4.5" x 9.5"].
Arm drop: 23cm. Max length of handle/strap: 58cm.

Product Care:

  • Suede is a beautifully soft, richly dyed material with a velvety surface. Because it is more porous than smooth leather, it can be more prone to color transfer — especially in deeper shades and during periods of friction or humidity.

For added protection, we apply a coat of suede protector spray to our suede items before they leave our workshop. However, because suede is a natural and absorbent material, we still recommend reapplying a high-quality suede protector before regular use for maximum protection.

We have tested and recommend Blundstone Waterproof Spray, though any reputable suede protector spray designed specifically for suede will work. Always allow the item to dry fully before use.

    Minimise Friction

Avoid prolonged rubbing against light-colored garments, and be mindful of dark denim or heavily dyed fabrics, which may transfer color onto the suede.

    Protect Light Yarn or Projects

If carrying very light-colored yarn or garments inside a suede bag, consider placing them inside a cotton project pouch or muslin bag for added protection, particularly before an additional protective spray has been applied.

    Routine Cleaning (No Liquids Needed)

Suede can be cleaned without water. Gently brush away dirt using a suede brush, soft toothbrush, or terry cloth towel, brushing lightly in the direction of the nap. This also helps remove any excess surface dye.

    For Tough Stains

Use a specialty suede shampoo designed specifically for suede leather and follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Allow the item to dry naturally.

Please note: Our Leather Care Kit is formulated for smooth leather and is not suitable for suede.

With proper protection and mindful care, suede will maintain its richness and develop character beautifully over time.
