It is a special edition base for AYS. Any unsold yarns will be available for purchase online from 14th March.
75% Corriedale / 17% Grey Exmoor Blueface / 8% Romney | Meterage: 400m per 100 gram skein | Worsted Spun | Non-superwash
Gauge: John Arbon Textiles does not give a recommended needle/hook size for their yarns, as everyone’s gauge is subtly different. It is possible to achieve quite a wide range of gauges with this yarn. A tighter gauge (more sts per cm/inch) will create a denser fabric and a looser gauge (fewer sts) will create a drapier fabric. If you are substituting yarn for a pattern, we recommend comparing the meterage. If your yarn is within 25 metres of the given yarn per 100g then you should be able to happily get the correct gauge.
Characteristics: Mineralogy is a non superwash yarn which has a worsted spun, 2-fold construction and features a subtle halo. It is mostly Corriedale, a gorgeously soft and bouncy fibre, well suited to pretty much anything you might fancy making in it! It was blended with soft and lustrous Grey Exmoor Blueface, and then to enhance the drape a dash of Romney was added. The resulting yarn is buttery soft with a gentle handle and warm, woolly character. The yarn creates a subtle stitch definition. The yarn was the John Arbon Textiles 2025 Mill Open Weekend (MOW) special edition base.
Use: Perfect for garments, shawls and other light weight accessories especially.
Care: Hand wash and dry flat in shade.
