We are pleased to have collaborated with Australian knitting podcast duo Gayann & Nicole of Purlfect Pairings and knitwear designer Susanna Kaartinen of Sanna & Co, to create nine kit options for Susanna's gorgeous EXP Sweater.
Join us for the #SannaSweaterKAL being held from 12 August to November 30, where you can paritipcate by knitting any of the four (4) sweater patterns published by Susanna Kaartinen: Viiva, Jubel, EXP and Overlay.
WIPs are welcome and there will be prizes. You can participate on either Instagram using #SannaSweaterKAL or in our Facebook Group here.

There is also a special Purlfect Pairings YouTube episode, where Susanna introduces all of the patterns, together with knitting tips and skill level recommendations. You can watch it here.
We have creative nine different Louie & Lola EXP Sweater Kits especially for the KAL and will have kits for the other Sanna & Co sweaters very soon.
These will be launched at the Sanna & Co stall at the Bendigo Sheep & Wool Show and also available in the Kits section of our shop from Friday, 14 July.
The EXP Sweater
The EXP Sweater is a reversible, cropped, 3/4 sleeved design with a fun design, which is as fun to knit as it is to wear.
It has a unique shaping with a subtle batwing shape. It is knit top down and in the round. After completing the folded collar and yoke, body and sleeves are worked separately and in the round. As a final step, raglan panels are grafted together to close the side seams.
It is worked primarily in Two-colour Shaker Stitch, with alternating rounds of Yarn A as Main colour (MC) and Yarns B-E for a faded colour version as a Contrast colour (CC).
(Alternatively it can be knit in just two colours, using just a single colour as Yarn B for the Contrast colour, for which we have separate kits available).
Beginning of collar and ribbed hem and cuffs are worked with Yarn A only.

In the case of Susanna Kaartinen, the answer is that she found inspiration in the vast, rugged and beautiful landscapes and wilderness of our island state.
And within weeks, concepts for a Sanna & Co. Tasmanian inspired knitwear pattern collection was born.

Understanding the difference is like knowing the secret personality of your yarn—and it’s the key to matching the right base to your dream project. Let's break it down together!
