Welcome to the Louie & Lola 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' 2024 Advent Calendar.

 

Easy Like Sunday Morning Yarn Advent Calendar
THE INSPIRATION:
Sunday morning sleep-ins. 
The smell of a freshly brewed pot of tea or cup of coffee.
A carefree start to the day, when you can simply relax and recharge.
A spot of relaxing knitting, without any week day pressures.
Heading out for a Sunday morning brunch with friends and family.
Or simply taking 'time out' to do the things we love the most.
When everything is easy like a Sunday morning.

 

 

THE COLOUR PALETTE:

Our 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' Advent Calendar has been designed around a fresh and relaxed, but energising colour palette, featuring wearable co-ordinating colourways.

Please note that whilst the above image is representative of the intended colour palette, as the yarn dyer we reserve the right to tweak and adjust the colourways as necessary to achieve the most cohesive colour palette.

Each yarn base also takes up the dye pigments slightly differently due to the varying fibre blends and treatments. 

The BFL yarn bases will have a slightly warmer hue, due to the undyed yarn bases having a more cream colouring, compared with a more white coloured Merino bases. 

Non superwash yarn bases also tend to dye up in a less saturated manner than superwash treated yarn bases.

 

ADVENT CALENDAR OPTIONS:

This year you have the choice of either a Standard or Deluxe Advent Calendar.

The Standard Advent Calendar ($285AUD) option will include:

  • 1 x 100g skein, in the yarn base of your choice, to be opened on December 1st (which will be dyed to complement the mini skein colourways).
  • 24 x individually wrapped 20g mini skeins, in the yarn base of your choice, dyed in our 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' colour palette, to take you from December 2nd through to Christmas Day.  All minis will be dyed in a semi-solid dyeing style.
  • A Ravelry download code for the Little Gemstones Shawl Knitting Pattern by Claire Slade of Verily Knits (we will hold an 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' Advent Calendar KAL/CAL in the Louie & Lola Ravelry Group during December).
  • An 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' cherry wood stitch marker set, designed by Katrinkles.
  • A box of 'Premium Tasmanian Breakfast Tea' by Art of Tea Tasmania.
  • A Haigh's premium milk chocolate bar.

 

The Deluxe Advent Calendar ($375AUD) option will include:

  • All the inclusions from the Standard Advent Calendar option (listed above).
  • A Thread & Maple 'On the Go' notions fold & tool set, in an exclusive leather colour to ordinate with the 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' advent calendar.  
  • An exclusive Louie & Lola cherry wood needle gauge square, designed by Katrinkles.
  • A handcrafted ceramic Christmas decoration created by Sharon O'Donnell Ceramics.

YARN BASE OPTIONS:

  • Organic Merino Fingering (4 Ply) - 100% non-superwash organic 20.5 micron Merino - 400m/100g or 80m/20g mini skein.
  • BFL Nylon Fingering (4 Ply) - 80% superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL), 20% Nylon - 365m/100g skein or 73m/20g mini skein.
  • BFL DK (8 Ply) - 100% superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) - 225m/100g skein or 45m/20g mini skein.

 

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

Should you wish to purchase additional skeins of the main 100g special colourway on the advent yarn base of your choice, these will also be available online at the time of the pre-sale, at a cost of $33AUD per skein.

    This year's advents will be shipped via Australia Post in recyclable kraft cardboard shipping mailer boxes.  

    Shipping notifications (including postal tracking numbers) will be sent from the last week of October through to the first week of November, commencing with international orders first.
