Earlier this month we attended the Australian Yarn Show, held at the Hotel Realm in Canberra, our first time vending at an Australian event.
The whole weekend exceeded our expectations, it was such a thrill to meet so many long-term customers in person for the first time as well as connect with fellow stallholders and and new faces in the industry.
To say our hearts are full after an incredible weekend of yarn, connection and community is an understatement.
We were also humbled to receive the 'Yarn Dyer of the Year' and 'Industry Leader of the Year' awards at the first ever Australian Yarn Show Awards.
To have been nominated and named as a finalist together with people we admire and look up to, was an absolute honour in itself, so to have received these awards was very exciting.
Getting to do what we love as our day job and to share our passion for colour, hand dyed yarn and knitting every day, is something that continues to bring us joy and for which we are truly grateful.
To everyone who has supported our journey along the way, from customers purchasing our yarns, to the amazing designers we have collaborated with, to the yarn and accessory producers who allow us to stock their products and to our colleagues in the industry who we are privileged to call friends, we thank you.
The generous support of donors and prize sponsors of our annual 'Knit for the Girls' breast cancer fundraiser is something that makes us feel so proud to be part of this incredible community.
