Celebrating Ambah O'Brien in February 2025

It's hard to believe we're already into the second month of the year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for #loveloKAL #loveloCAL during January in either our Ravelry group or on @louielolayarns and @fibremates Instagram. 

#loveloKAL #loveloCAL is our year-long make-along where we will be celebrating our down-under designers, yarn producers, dyers and local yarn shops during 2025.

During February we’ll be celebrating one of our national knitting treasures as part of our #loveloKAL #loveloCAL make-along, with our bonus theme for the month being ‘Celebrating Ambah O’Brien’.

If you choose to knit a design from Ambah’s extensive design catalogue you’ll be eligible for an additional bonus entry into the monthly prize draw for February.

If your project follows our February 2025 bonus theme of ‘Celebrating Ambah O’Brien’ by using an Ambah O’Brien Design, you’ll also be eligible to post it a second time for a bonus entry.

I don't know about you, but it's always hard to narrow down our favourites from Ambah's designs, but we've done our best.  Here they are in no particular order:

2. Lamina Wrap & Cowl - A super versatile design to showcase mini skeins, gradient yarns or single colourways with an effective lace pattern.

3. Euphoria Wrap - An elegant DK weight design with endless possibilities.

4. Actinotus Shawl - Enjoy a journey of slipped stitches, mosaic knitting and circular lace resulting in a gorgeous triangular shawl using two high contrast colourways (Ambah used a Louie & Lola Yarn in this sample).
