The tally has now been finalised and in JUST ONE WEEK you guys have raised an incredible $66K AUD for the National Breast Cancer Foundation Australia!
Our Knit for the Girls 'Team Australia' 2025 fundraising tally has just been wrapped up - and this result is truly beyond anything we would ever have thought possible (and our $50,000 fundraising goal for 2025).
To say you guys showed up in support of those in our community who have been affected by breast cancer, is an understatement.
We are so grateful to everyone who has supported, donated, sponsored and cheered on KFTG 2025.
In the five years of Knit for the Girls, together we have raised $186,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The generosity and support of the fibre arts community towards KFTG ever year reminds us of how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and wonderful community.
We also want to send a huge shout out also to our incredible 75 Aussie sponsors who make KFTG possible. They not only donated an estimated $20K in prizes, but also directly contributed $17,700 of the funds raised, through their own fundraising activity.
Knit for the Girls would not be possible without their creativity, energy and commitment to making a difference. We cannot thank them enough.
Team Knit for the Girls Canada (Olga of Thread & Maple and Tracie & Jodi of the Grocery Girls) has also raised an impressive $48K CAD for Breast Cancer Canada this year.
Thank you to everyone who purchased an Official Fundraiser Bundle and other KFTG yarns & accessories from Louie & Lola Yarns during October. As as result, we were able to contribute $3,600 towards Knit for the Girls from the sale of these items.
