More Knit for the Girls Down Under Yarnie Fun!

More Knit for the Girls Down Under Yarnie Fun!

Home   News from the Dye Pots   More Knit for the Girls Down Under Yarnie Fun!

October 05, 2024

So many of our fabulous Knit for the Girls sponsors have their own special events happening this week in support of the fundraiser, that we thought they deserved a blog post all of it's own.

Here's just a snippet of the pink boobie yarnie fun to be found between 5-12 October.

'Flutterby' from Daffodil Road

Introducing Flutterby, the newest Daffodil Road Yarn club colorway to flutter its way into your stash this month!

Soft shades of pink, inspired by delicate wings dancing in the breeze. This one is perfect for those cozy autumn knits that need a touch of whimsical charm!

Limited spare skeins available, so grab yours before they fly away!

Sara will be donating $10 from each spare skein to the Knit For The Girls  fundraiser!

Rose Quartz Markers & Earrings from Obsession Yarns

Marie from Obsession Yarns has created a little set of stitch markers and some earrings from beautiful rose quartz.

All profits from sales of these items will go toward the fundraiser, and Marie will personally match the final amount!

Boobs Pottery Mug Boxes from Circus Tonic Handmade

Treat yourself or someone special to a Circus Tonic Handmade Pottery Mug Finest Box!

Hannah has curated this box with beautiful things we would love for a quiet crafternoon. She will also donate $5 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation from the sale of each box.

These Finest Boxes contain a beautiful hand made custom boobs mug by Andrina Wright of AW Pottery, a matching set of 200g Pageant DK in either blues or pinks and a beautiful Thurlby Herb Farm Bug Buster Drawer Sachet in the Gum Blossom scent.

These mugs are works of art; with carefully detailed perfectly imperfect boobs in a neutral glaze, which will contain approx 240ml.

You'll want to be quick to snag one of these glorious boxes (we may have already treated ourselves!!)

Strawberry Shortcakes from Crystal Cat Stitchery

Crystal Cat Stitchery has some incredible strawberry shortcake bags available for pre-order for Knit for the Girls!

They'll be available between 5th-12th October in their large classic drawstring bag style for $85, with $15 being donated from every bag sold to the fundraiser.

They really are absolutely stunning IRL!

Check Your Breast! with Bombed Yarns

Our friend Sarah from Bombed Yarns in Hobart has designed a 'Knit for the Girls' exclusive colourway 'Check Your Breast!'  Simply...how good is it???!

The colourway will be available only for the week of 5th - 12th October, with 15% of all sales of the colourway being donated to the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation.

'Check Your Breast!' pairs beautifully with existing Bombed Yarns colourways 'Resistance is Futile', 'Smoked', 'Kiss My Magnolia' and 'Pinot On The Carpet' and will be available on Upcycled 4ply (100% SW Merino yarn, recycled to prevent waste), Upcycled Sock (75% SW Merino / 25% Nylon yarn, recycled to prevent waste) and Fluffy (37% Pima Cotton  / 35% Baby Alpaca /  25% Merino Fingering yarn).

All yarns will be dyed and shipped within a fortnight of this event finishing.

Love Ya Boobs Stitch Markers from Eleventy One Windmills

Lisa from Eleventy One Windmills has created these fabulous 'Love Ya Boobs' Stitch Marker Sets to celebrate Knit for the Girls 2024.

They're available in the 'windmill' shop (as I affectionally call it) now, with portion of proceeds being donated to this year's fundraiser.

They are totally adorable and pretty damn cute!
.

Get Dizzie for Self Striping Very Pink Yarn

Sharyn from Dizzie Devil Yarn (yes, she's from Tassie too!) has self-striping sock lovers covered, having designed a very special VERY PINK self striping yarn for Knit for the Girls.

Dizzie Devil Yarn will have a VERY PINK SET available in limited quantities (so you'll want to be quick!).  It includes a  ball of VERY PINK self Striping Sock Yarn 75/25, a complementary mini skein, project bag and a Dizzie stitch marker.  Sharyn is very generously donating 50% of proceeds from every set sold.
.

Mammilla! from Hodgepodge Skeins

Once again Karen from Hodgepodge Skeins has worked her unique brand of pink magic in the dye pots, creating 'Mammilla', a special release colourway, that will be available in her shop during the month of October.

$10 from the sale of each skein of 'Mammilla' will be donated to Knit for the Girls.  Thank you so much Karen, they're simply stunning and I may need to grab a skein for myself!
.

Shelley Husband Crochet does Pinkie for KFTG

Granny square extraordinaire Shelley Husband will have her Pinkie pattern for sale this week for $5, with 100% of all sales donated to Knit for the Girls.

If you know Shelley, you'll recognise that pink is well outside her signature blue colour palette, so we are very grateful indeed that Shelley agreed to put some pink yarn on her hooks for the occasion!

The Pinkie pattern will only be available between 5th - 12th October, so make sure you jump on this if you'd like the pattern!
.

Believe & Dream from Jokamamo Textiles

Nobody pairs a themed knitting bag & yarn together better than Marianne from Jokamamo Textiles.

These beautiful & high quality 'Knit for the Girls' projects bags and 'Believe & Dream' colourway are now available in both in the luscious Jokamamo Merino/Nylon 4 ply and their Sparkly Stellina base.

All proceeds will be donated to this year's fundraiser.  If you're lucky enough to grab one of these skeins I promise you'll have it cast on in no time at all!
.

Knits n Tits from Wool + Works

Our resident pink goddess Chloe from Wool + Works has pulled out all the stops for Knit for the Girls 2024, with the return of some of her iconic pink colourways, as a special release collection 'Knits n Tits'.

The collection will be releasing at 10am AEST, Saturday 5th October, with colourways including Barbie, Greta, Shepherds Delight and Groovy Boobies (pictured above) available for pre-order.

Chloe generously donating a portion of all 'Knits n Tits' collection sales to this year's fundraiser.
.

Power in Pink from Skein Sisters

Skein Sisters has created this amazing colour Power in Pink, as their special, limited-edition skein for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Knit for the Girls.

Their dyer Julia has dyed up a whole batch of these special skeins, with proceeds from their sale going to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

PLUS, with every purchase of of Power in Pink you'll receive five cute little stitch markers!* It's the Skein Sisters way of saying thanks for your support.

Grab your skein before they sell out!

They're perfect for those single skein projects (such as Helen Stewart's Peace of Wild Things Shawl), or a statement pair of socks (LOVE!). Why not buy two and put them with another colour in Fabulous Sock (say Spellbound) and get started on the Westknits Go Go Dynamo MKAL! Every purchase will make a contribution.

*There are a variety of stitch markers. They may differ from those shown in the images but we promise they're very sweet!
.

Confidence from Three Trees Fibrecrafts

Three Trees Fibrecrafts are renowned for their wonderfully rich and complex complex colourways and the lovely Rhonda has excelled in creating a special fundraiser colourway 'Confidence' for Knit for the Girls 2024.

Rhonda called it CONFIDENCE for all women who need that boost of Confidence. It is inspired by the flowers of the Fuchsia plant where the purple and pink Fuchsia represents maturity, assurance, and self-confidence.

Wow, what an inspiration!

It's now available on both their Fledgling 4ply sock & Baa-Ram-Ewe DK (pictured above) in their shop, with $5 from each skein sold during the fundraiser being donated to Knit for the Girls.
