We are pleased to offer yarn kits for Sari Nordlund's 'Lumme Pullover'.
This kit uses our Merino Possum DK yarn as featured in our sample, with all kit options using Natural as the Main Colour.
Kits will be dyed-to-order and will ship within approximately 21 days.
The Lumme pullover is a design by Sari Nordlund, with the pattern available for purchase in her Ravelry store here.
It was named after the Finnish word for a water lily. I was inspired by the murky and dark waters of Finnish forest ponds and the contrast they create with white water lilies.
The Lumme pullover is knitted seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and knitted separately.
The yoke is knitted in stranded colorwork with increases incorporated into the pattern. Choose 2 colors with enough contrast for the best result.

Meterage:
All kits have been designed to meet the meterage requirements for each size.
It is important you swatch and achieve the pattern gauge, as this will affect yarn usage. Likewise, any pattern modifications such as additional body or sleeve length will affect yarn usage. Should you wish to purchase an additional skein/s to enable pattern modifications please don't hesitate to Contact Us.
Fibre Content: 80% Merino, 20% Possum Fur.
Meterage: 248 metres / 271 yards per 100g.
Gauge & Needles: 20-22 sts x 30 rows to 10cm using 4mm - 5mm needles. Due to the halo of the yarn it can also work well for Worsted & light Aran weight patterns.
Characteristics: A woollen spun, non superwash yarn which is super soft, light & airy. The possum fibre adds light brown undertone to the yarn, as well as a beautiful halo and warmth due to its excellent insulation properties. Perfect for lightweight garments and accessories.
Hand-dyed in small batches in Tasmania.
The beauty and nature of hand dyed yarn is that every skein is unique and individual. Even within the same dye batch variations between skeins can occur.
We therefore recommend alternating skeins within your projects to ensure an optimal finish and colour blending.
Please also ensure you buy enough yarn for your project at the time of purchase, as colours can vary between dye batches.
Our yarns come twisted in a skein and will need to be wound into a cake before knitting. You can do that yourself or have it done by us using our Cake Your Yarn service.
Hand wash only as this is a non-superwash yarn.
Our hand dyed yarns have been washed to remove excess dye, however some residual dye may remain, particularly in dark and saturated colourways.
It is recommended to gently hand wash your hand dyed projects in cold water.
Wool wash or a mild detergent may be used.
We recommend blocking and drying garments flat and not tumble drying.
