Every year, we come together with our friends at Thread & Maple and Grocery Girls to create something special for Knit for the Girls. This year's limited-edition bundle features a handcrafted leather sling bag with an exclusive jacquard strap, a gorgeous skein of hand-dyed yarn, and a brand-new sock pattern designed especially for the fundraiser.
The fibre arts community has a way of showing up for each other, and we're proud to continue this annual tradition in support of breast cancer research.
For every Knit for the Girls bundle sold $35AUD will be donated to the Knit for the Girls 2026 fundraiser, supporting the National Breast Cancer Council.
It's our maker community's way of coming together for a cause that touches so many lives.

The Knit for the Girls bundles launch October 31 at 12pm AEDT in limited quantities. Once they sell out, preorders will open so more makers can be part of the collection, with delivery expected in mid-January 2027.
More than a bag, yarn, and pattern, Knit for the Girls is about what our community does best: coming together, making with our hands, and turning individual stitches into something much bigger.

At the heart of the bundle is a handcrafted Thread & Maple leather sling bag, handcrafted in Ukraine from premium, soft pebbled leather. It comes in two colorways made just for this collection, each paired with an exclusive custom-woven jacquard strap. A breast cancer ribbon motif is woven into each strap's design — a small detail that carries a lot of meaning.

Designed with makers in mind, the bag features a zippered back pocket for your phone or small essentials, an interior slip pocket, and a yarn-feed opening at the zipper so your yarn flows smoothly while you knit or crochet. Each bag is also subtly embossed with the breast cancer ribbon, a meaningful detail commemorating this special collection and the cause it supports.

The bundle also includes a brand-new design from Tracie Millar of Grocery Girls Knit, the Side by Side Socks, created especially for Knit for the Girls.
Featuring a classic twisted rib cuff and a beautiful eyelet lace motif down the leg, these socks are a lovely project for knitters of all levels. The simple lace is perfect for beginners, followed by smooth sailing with a relaxing stockinette foot and toe. They're just as gorgeous with a shorter leg, and make a wonderful project to knit for yourself or someone you love.

We designed the 'Whispered Hope' colourway especially for the Side by Side Socks in order to showcase the design's delicate lace motif.
Dyed on our Merino Nylon DK base, the yarn is designed especially for DK/8ply sock projects, with a bouncy & soft handle and 20% nylon component for added strength.
'Whispered Hope' ties the whole Knit for the Girls 2026 Fundraiser Bundle together beautifully, being a delicate semi-solid pink colourway, that co-ordinates with both bag options.
